Today’s Mission Moment comes to us from Johanney. He just finished a week’s agricultural training on our Mountain View Training and Research Farm. The students came from 5 different schools and consisted of teachers, gardeners, and community members. Johanney taught and equipped the class to take what they have learned back to their schools and gardens. The Teach a Child to Fish program is designed to equip the students to plant and grow sustainable vegetable gardens. The schools are then able to feed the students from the produce from the garden and even sell the excess vegetables. We look forward to visiting each school garden in the future to see their beautiful and self-sustainable gardens.
