Today’s Mission Moment comes to us from Doc and Kevin sharing on the Celebrate Recovery/ The Landing program we are running in South Africa!

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-based program that helps people recover from alcohol and drug abuse as well as facing many other situations such as broken homes and suicide. We started introducing The Landing in churches and high schools in the Mokopane area and will hopefully soon be introducing Celebrate Recovery into the prison in Polokwane.

The Landing has had an incredible impact on the lives of many pupils in the community and also the leaders that help run the program.

Weekly the students touch on a topic and discuss it in small groups. The high schools have large gatherings of between 60 and 80 pupils that come to the program each week.

Our leaders receive training each week from the incredible team in Iowa and this equips them to be able to present the program with excellence!
