More Than 200,000 Meals Have Arrived in South Africa

Today is a day we have prayed for, worked toward, and eagerly anticipated for more than a year and a half: a container filled with food has finally arrived in South Africa.
After countless challenges and delays, more than 200,000 meals are now on their way to children facing hunger. Every box unloaded from the container represents hope for a child waiting for a meal. Hope for the communities we serve. And hope that this shipment will open the door for more donated food to reach South Africa from the United States.

This milestone was made possible by an extraordinary community of partners, donors, and prayer supporters.
We are deeply grateful to our partners at Meals from the Heartland, who worked diligently to meet South Africa’s labeling requirements and helped make this shipment possible. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Hy-Vee OneStep and Convoy of Hope for helping provide this incredible gift of food.
During the long season of waiting, our donors stepped forward to help us purchase food locally so that children could continue receiving meals. Your generosity enabled us to keep serving even when the container’s arrival seemed uncertain. To every person who gave, encouraged us, or prayed alongside us: thank you. You are an essential part of this mission.
Although this delivery is a wonderful reason to celebrate, the need remains tremendous. Far too many children are still waiting for the nourishment they need to grow, learn, and thrive. More food will be needed, along with more partners willing to help us reach the next hungry child.
But today, we pause to celebrate what God has provided.
Today, food has arrived.
Today, more than 200,000 meals are moving toward hungry children.

Above all, we thank God for His abundant grace, His faithful provision, and the privilege of serving His children. This container is more than a shipment of food—it is a powerful reminder of what can happen when people come together with compassion, generosity, perseverance, and faith.
