Access to clean drinking water is life-changing and life-saving. In many rural areas of South Africa, children and families drink from contaminated sources, if they can find one at all. Others walk long distances to collect clean water, often carrying it home in unsanitary containers. Today, that reality is changing. We drill deep wells and install water tanks at schools, crèches (daycares), churches, and villages, providing thousands of gallons of clean, safe water every day. This is one of the most impactful ministries we’ve ever undertaken. It restores health, restores dignity, and restores hope. Even more, it opens the door to share the gospel with families who ask why we came, and we get to tell them about the Living Water that never runs dry.

In many rural communities, children rely on unsafe and unsanitary pit latrines that pose serious health and safety risks. We replace these dangerous structures with eco-friendly, waterless toilets that promote dignity and public health. These innovative systems are ideal for remote areas where traditional plumbing isn’t possible. They support green building initiatives, require no water, and minimize environmental impact, all while ensuring safe, sustainable sanitation where it’s needed most.

Many girls in rural South Africa miss school and church each month simply because they lack access to menstrual hygiene products. Our Girls Empowerment program provides a reusable hygiene kit that offers dignity by allowing young women to participate fully in daily life with confidence. Alongside these practical tools, we offer hygiene education and teach young, vulnerable girls biblical truth about their identity and worth in Christ.

Sisonke, a Zulu term meaning “we are together,” helps boys in Limpopo navigate the journey to adulthood with biblical guidance and support from youth leaders. Through prayer, worship, video teaching, and open discussion, boys learn to seek wise mentors, understand changes in their bodies, and make healthy choices. The program addresses unsafe initiation practices, encourages abstinence before marriage, and teaches boys to respect women and choose friends wisely. Each gathering closes in prayer, and boys receive Scripture references and a small gift—a reminder that they do not have to face life’s challenges alone.

The Landing is the student ministry of Celebrate Recovery, designed specifically for teenagers dealing with real-life challenges like trauma, addiction, broken families, and emotional pain. It provides a safe, Christ-centered environment where teens can process their struggles and find healing. Each group is led by trained, godly men and women who have a heart for teens and a passion for seeing them walk in freedom through the power of the gospel.

Located at the Del Cramer Children's Campus, Lighthouse Christian Church serves as a spiritual home for children and families in the surrounding community. The church is led by Pastor Jonathan Mkulama, a gifted pastor who shepherds his flock well and boldly shares the gospel. Lighthouse hosts weekly worship services, a lively children's church gathering, and discipleship opportunities that help people grow in their faith and experience the love of Christ.

Hope Christian Church is a growing congregation in the village of Sterkrivier, located adjacent to Sterkrivier Combined School, a local public school. Each week, more than 380 students attend youth group services, where they hear the gospel and experience the love of Christ. Pastor Johanney Chongani is a gifted preacher with a deep love for God's Word and a passion for reaching the next generation. The ministry of Hope Christian Church has sparked a powerful change, raising the graduation rate at Sterkrivier Combined School from a mere 35% to well over 90%.

In communities where unemployment hovers around 70%, education is one of the few paths to a better future. School in a Box is a tablet-based digital program that provides supplemental educational resources to connect, equip, and empower learners to reach their full potential. Focused on helping students excel in English, this tool gives children in under-resourced areas a critical academic advantage.

With staggering unemployment rates in South Africa, providing women with marketable skills is key to breaking the cycle of poverty. At our Lethabo Sewing Center, our staff of seamstresses is busily sewing menstrual hygiene kits, clerical stoles, and Blessman International-branded items for sale at the Lodge of Dreams.

Thanks to the generosity of partners like Meals from the Heartland and Convoy of Hope, thousands of children are fed. To build on this strong foundation, we’ve expanded our work at Mountain View Farm to train local community members in sustainable gardening practices. By teaching how to plant, tend, and harvest food at schools, hospitals, and homes, we’re equipping people to nourish their families and foster long-term self-sufficiency.
